The picture was taken 8 weeks after amputation of my right leg below the knee. Not only had I ever done any type of rock climbing, I still didn't even have my first prosthetic. My wife and I have told our kids since they were in diapers, "if you want something or want to accomplish something... "Why Not Try". As I stood in front of the rock wall starring up to find my path, my oldest daughter Jordan stood behind me and while capturing the image she said "hey Dad, if you want to climb the wall then "Why Not Try". 1 minute and 28 seconds later I was ringing the bell at the top of the 30 foot wall.
